Atance, Bobal 2022

Atance is a project from Bodegas Mustiguillo, founded by Toni Sarrión to champion Bobal in Valencia’s Requena region. Farming is certified organic, with bush vines rooted in chalky, sandy soils. Winemaking is low-intervention; native yeast, gentle extraction, and ageing in large neutral oak. The result is a fresh, honest expression of Bobal that respects the land, the grape, and the region’s historic viticultural identity. Lively and pure, this Bobal bursts with red cherry, wild strawberry and a dusting of black pepper. It’s medium-bodied, fresh and quietly structured, with bright acidity and fine mineral tension. Gentle oak ageing lends subtle texture without overpowering the fruit. A modern, elegant take on a rustic native grape: vibrant, balanced, and effortlessly drinkable with a savoury twist on the finish. Great value and full of regional character.
